Component Design Specialist / Trainer
20+ years of experience in single and multi-family component design.
I began my component design career in 1998 at True House. Having a fully functional truss plant just outside my door and a highly ambitious sales staff down the hall, I was able to develop my design skills with both the manufacturing and customer perspective in mind.
In 2002, the component design department transitioned to Apex Technology. The idea was to have structural engineers, drafters and component designers as part of one comprehensive design team. This move introduced me to the engineering world and vastly improved my skills as a designer. Having valuable interaction with structural and mechanical engineers, I have gained knowledge of these disciplines. This engineering background has given me a competitive edge in a growing market.
In 2013, I accepted the challenge to become the Component Design Manager for the Jacksonville Component Team. This move allowed me to grow into a leadership role on the design team. During this time, I was able to learn about project scheduling, market strategy, and employee training and development.
Since the beginning of 2021, I have transitioned into the role of Component Specialist / Trainer. This role allows me to produce high level designs for Apex, as well as mentoring and growing the next generation of component designers.
With over two decades of service in the Belit family, it has been a privilege to be part of our company’s growth. I’m very excited to see where the future takes us.
I am a guitarist of 30 plus years and enjoys being a part of the Jacksonville music scene.
